Several years ago, leading Plastic Surgeon Dr Mark Kohout saw the need in his practice for laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation.

The treatments proved to be very successful and demand grew rapidly.

LaserSmooth was created to deliver the same high quality service to clients of beauty salons, day spas and medical centres.

With the growth and popularity of cosmetic treatments, LaserSmooth is now providing an expanded range of services to cater to clients requests in over 80 locations throughout New South Wales and Queensland.

Dr Mark Kohout is a highly trained Plastic surgeon. Dr Kohout is recognizable from television and radio, having appeared on series such as Channel Seven's "Ultimate Transformation" and "The Body Specialist" as well as Channel 9's "Body Works".

Graduating from medicine in 1985, Dr Kohout trained in general medicine and surgery in Australia and Great Britain.

While training in plastic surgery in Great Britain, Dr Kohout earned two prestigious fellowships. In 1990 he became a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr Kohout spent a year conducting microsurgical research which earned him a Master of Surgery Degree from Melbourne University.

Dr Kohout continued another 4 years training in Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery in Australia, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 1996. He spent a further year of training in Maxillofacial and Cosmetic Surgery at the prestigious Harvard Medical School, Boston in the United States.

Dr Kohout is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

He has lectured in Cosmetic and Plastic surgery at national and international conferences and has published numerous scientific papers in his field.

Dr Kohout is a regular contributor to the Cosmetic Surgery Magazine and practices privately in Sydney and Orange.
