Pre and Post Care
Treatment Plan
This course of treatments will usually be three sessions two weeks apart. Best results are obtained with consistent appointments.
Pre-Treatment
Please limit your sun exposure for two weeks pre treatments. If you must be out in the sun always wear sunscreen.
It is important to stop the use of all active skin care including acids for three days prior to treatment.
Post Care
First 24 -72 hours - Most people will be red for the first 24-48 hours. This is normal. If you are sensitive you can apply a cool pack or use Avene Thermale Spray. Use the provided serum twice per day. No other topicals can be put on the face for the first 72 hours.

ALL skin care products other than provided serum.
3-7 days - The treated area may be cleansed gently with a mild cleanser (no actives or acids). Pat the skin dry instead of rubbing. Use the provided serum twice per day. You may now use a zinc based sunscreen. Purging and peeling may occur during this phase. It is still important to not use any moisturisers other than the provided serum during this time. Do not pick at any skin that is peeling as this can lead to scarring.
7 days+ - Resume normal skin care regime.
Post-Care - Between Appointments
Limit sun exposure to reduce possibility of any hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation. Laser Smooth recommends ASAP 50+ Ultimate Defence.
FAQs
Does it hurt?
No, unlike regular needling, SQT bio-microneedling does not hurt, you may experience a little discomfort but it is not painful.
How long does it take?
Each appointment takes about 45 mins as you are treated to a complimentary mini facial with each treatment.
How many treatments?
A minimum of three treatments is always recommended.
Can everyone have a treatment?
Yes, this is a completely natural treatment and available to all ages, skin colours and skin types.
What are the results?
SQT bio-microneedling can reduce visible ageing by increasing collagen and elastin production, reduce pigmentation including melasma and PIHP as well as assist in the reduction of acne, reduction in enlarged pores and reduction in visible scarring.
