Does it hurt?
No, it is totally painless with no downtime at all.
What is microdermabrasion?
It is a facial treatment that gives a deep exfoliation and polish of your skin using a gentle vacuum system with diamond tips. It can clear clogged pores and remove dead skin cells.
What is sonophoresis?
Sonophoresis uses low level ultrasonics and warmth to open up the pathways into the cells to allow greater product absorption to achieve a brighter and more youthful appearance.
Does one size fit all?
Microdermabrasion is an extremely gentle process and is suited to most people but there are always exceptions. You will be advised at your skin consultation whether it is a suitable treatment for you.
Pre and Post Care
Treatment Plan
This course of treatments will depend entirely on what you are trying to achieve with your skin journey. On average you can have a microdermabrasion on a monthly basis. Best results are obtained with consistent appointments.

Pre-Treatment

Stop using any exfoliation products for 3-5 days before your treatment.

There must be a six month wait after stopping Accutane before commencing microdermabrasion.

Minimise sun exposure.

If able to do so, discontinue use of all NSAIDs for week before treatment.

Ensure waxing, laser hair removal, fillers or botox are not scheduled in the week prior or after a microdermabrasion.

Reschedule your appointment if you have open lesions on your skin.
Post-Care - On Day of Treatment

Apply ASAP Moisturising Daily Defence SPF50+ and avoid sun exposure.

Moisturise the skin if required.

Do not use products with exfoliating properties including: asap daily exfoliating facial scrub, asap radiance serum, asap super C complex, asap super A+ serum.

If the skin is irritated you can use ASAP Soothing Gel.​

Post-Care - Between Appointments
Continue your skin care regime as recommended at your treatment. Ongoing, long term use of ASAP skin products following a microdermabrasion will help to prolong your results.
